49ers Eye Free‑Agent RBs to Replace Robinson Jr.

The 49ers lost RB Brian Robinson Jr. to the Falcons in free agency and are exploring free‑agent options to fill the void. Potential signings include Kareem Hunt, Raheem Mostert, Austin Ekeler, Michael Carter, and Miles Sanders.

With Brian Robinson Jr. gone to the Falcons, San Francisco’s backfield will need reinforcement. General manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan are eyeing veteran free agents to back up starter Christian McCaffrey.

Kareem Hunt, a former Chiefs and Browns star, has 5,775 rushing yards and 55 TDs. Raheem Mostert, a 49ers fan favorite, has 3,895 yards and 34 TDs. Austin Ekeler, 4,765 yards and 43 TDs, is recovering from an Achilles tear. Michael Carter has 1,692 yards and nine TDs, while Miles Sanders brings 4,462 yards and 24 TDs.
