Aston Martin Honda Vibration Mystery Deepens

Aston Martin's Honda-powered F1 car showed temporary improvement in engine vibrations during Friday practice at Suzuka, only for them to return unchanged the next day.

Fernando Alonso reported experiencing "nearly no vibrations" from his AMR26 on Friday at the Japanese Grand Prix, a marked improvement from previous races where he "began to lose all feeling in my hands and feet." However, the vibrations mysteriously returned on Saturday despite no changes to the car.

The Aston Martin team, slowest in qualifying with Alonso and Stroll starting from the back row, continues to battle with vibrations that damage batteries and affect driver comfort. Alonso called it "the biggest limiting factor" and noted the improvement seemed "a little bit of a random thing," leaving the team searching for answers before the race.
