Blue Jays catcher Brandon Valenzuela made his MLB debut on Easter Sunday, getting an opportunity due to Alejandro Kirk's injury.

Valenzuela, a 25-year-old from Mexico, was traded from the San Diego Padres to Toronto in exchange for Will Wagner. He made 26 appearances for Triple-A Buffalo after the trade, hitting .207 with three home runs.
