Cardinals Rally Past Rays with Burleson's HR

Alec Burleson's two-run homer capped an eight-run sixth inning as the Cardinals rallied from a 7-1 deficit to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-7.

The Cardinals answered Tampa Bay's six-run top of the sixth with their own eight-run bottom half, highlighted by Burleson's blast and a sacrifice fly from rookie JJ Wetherholt. Jonathan Aronda had homered for Tampa Bay earlier in the game.

Riley O'Brien earned the win in relief while Ryne Stanek secured the save for St. Louis. Several players had multiple hits in the high-scoring contest.
