Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli has 'earned the right' to lead the Formula 1 championship, according to former driver David Coulthard.

The 19-year-old took the lead after back-to-back wins at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix, becoming the youngest driver in series history to lead the standings.
