Dowdle Emphasizes Team First in Steelers Backfield Shuffle

After a 1,000‑yard season in Carolina, Rico Dowdle joined the Steelers as a free agent and said he will simply put his best foot forward while the coaching staff sorts out backfield playtime.

Dowdle, who will not return to the Panthers in 2026, joined Pittsburgh after a strong 2025 season.
