Giants Claim DL C.J. Ravenell Off Waivers

The New York Giants have claimed defensive lineman C.J. Ravenell off waivers, adding depth to their defensive line.

The Titans waived Ravenell off their injured reserve list on Monday after placing him there in June. He played in 14 games for Tennessee last season, recording six tackles and a forced fumble.

To make room for Ravenell on the 90-man roster, the Giants waived defensive back Rico Payton, who had 12 tackles in nine games for New York last season. The move came with an injury designation for Ravenell. chickenroad.qpon
