Griffin Joins Hall of Fame Teens in MLB History

Pirates’ Konnor Griffin has reached base in each of his first three major‑league games, placing him among the last three Hall of Famers to do the same as teenagers.

Griffin, who will turn 20 later this month, went 1‑for‑9 with two walks and an HBP in his first three games. Despite a modest start, the shortstop’s early success places him in a rare club shared with Adrian Beltre (1998), Andruw Jones (1996) and Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez (1991).
