Itauma Stops Franklin in Fifth Round, Eyes Usyk

Moses Itauma knocked out Jermaine Franklin in the fifth round at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena, extending his 86% knockout rate to 12 of 14 wins.

Itauma, 21, used speed and power to dismantle Franklin, landing a decisive uppercut in round five that ended the bout. The win marked his 12th stoppage in 14 professional fights and raised his knockout percentage to 86%.

With the victory, the Chatham prospect is now positioned for a world title shot. He has expressed interest in fighting unified champion Oleksandr Usyk, while promoter Frank Warren plans a return in July.
