Jaguars' Hunter Ahead in Knee Rehab

Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter is progressing well ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation from right knee surgery, according to coach Liam Coen.

Speaking with Jacksonville media during the NFL's Annual Meeting, Coen said Hunter is "very well ahead" of schedule in his rehab from surgery performed on Nov. 11 for a lateral collateral ligament injury suffered on Oct. 30. "I don't know his timetable-to-return, but he's very well ahead of where he's supposed to be," Coen said.

The second overall draft pick last year, Hunter played in seven games for the Jaguars, recording 28 catches for 298 yards and one touchdown on offense, while making 15 tackles and three pass break-ups on defense. Coen mentioned the team may "tweak" how they deploy Hunter in practice moving forward, though they haven't had detailed conversations about his specific role for this season.
