McCrary-Ball, 27, signed the tender after being an exclusive rights free agent. The linebacker injured his hamstring in Week 3 against the Buccaneers during the 2025 season before being activated from injured reserve late in the year.
Upon his return, McCrary-Ball played in two more games, recording 106 defensive snaps and 120 special teams snaps. He totaled 23 tackles and one forced fumble during the 2025 campaign. After beginning his career with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2022, McCrary-Ball found a home with the Jets in 2023, playing 109 defensive snaps and 363 special teams snaps across three seasons.
