Lanning: UCLA Reminds Him of Title-Winning Indiana

Dan Lanning is drawing parallels between UCLA and Indiana's national championship team. The Oregon coach noted similarities in how both programs were rebuilt by coaches from James Madison, with coordinators and players following their mentors to new schools.

'We're about to play a UCLA team that reminds me a lot of Indiana from last year,' Lanning said. Both coaches brought significant transfer classes - Chesney with 43 at UCLA and Cignetti with 13 at Indiana - and maintained staff continuity. The Bruins, now 4-0, face Oregon (3-1) on October 10th as the Ducks look to avoid a repeat of their semifinal loss to Indiana last season. catcross.biz
