Josh Liendo of the Florida Gators captured the 100‑yard butterfly title at the NCAA men’s swimming and diving championships in Federal Way, Washington, re‑breaking his own NCAA record by 0.05 seconds to finish in 19.61. He edged Texas senior Hubert Kos, who led the early stages with a 19.56 finish, but Liendo’s final 25 yards allowed him to overtake and secure the national title.
In the same meet, the Arizona State Sun Devils set a new NCAA record in the 200‑yard freestyle relay, breaking Tennessee’s previous mark from last year.
