McNeill: Now Fully Recovered from ACL Injury

Lions defensive tackle Alim McNeill confirms he wasn't fully recovered from his torn ACL last season but is now feeling back to his pre-injury form.

McNeill, who suffered the ACL injury late in the 2024 season, didn't return to action until Week 7 of the 2025 season. The defensive tackle admitted he never felt completely healthy last season despite his return, with his production of 14 tackles and a sack in 10 starts falling short of his pre-injury contributions.

The former first-round pick is now confident he's back to being the player who recorded 57 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hits and 8.5 sacks in the 27 games before his injury. This return to form could be crucial for the Lions as they aim to make a playoff run in 2026. afnews.co.za
