Mets' Baty acknowledges struggles but remains hopeful

Brett Baty admitted the Mets must be better after going 0-for-7 in a doubleheader sweep but said the team still has time to improve.

Despite the Mets dropping both games to the Colorado Rockies and falling 10 games below .500, third baseman Brett Baty remains optimistic about the team's chances. 'It's not great. We gotta be better,' Baty said after his 0-for-7 performance, including three strikeouts in Game 1. 'We're putting in the work, all the guys are working really hard.'

The Mets' struggles have come early in the season, giving them time to turn things around. 'A lot of ball left to play. Our goal remains the same so put our head down and keep working hard,' Baty added. Manager Carlos Mendoza also expressed confidence in his hitters, noting, 'They're good hitters. They've done it for a long time.' solvita.blog
