Mets rout Giants 9-0, Holmes and Myers combine on three‑hit shutout

Clay Holmes and Tobias Myers combined on a three‑hit, seven‑inning shutout as the Mets beat the Giants 9‑0.

Holmes (2-0) pitched seven innings, allowing only one runner past first base and striking out four. Myers retired the final six batters in order, giving the Mets their first shutout of the season.

Mark Vientos had three hits, Tyrone Taylor hit a pinch‑three‑run homer and drove in four runs, while Marcus Semien, Bo Bichette and Brett Baty each had two hits.
