Qalandars posted a formidable total of 199-6, built on an opening stand of 84 between Fakhar Zaman (53 off 39) and Mohammad Naeem (30 off 19). Haseebullah Khan's unbeaten 40 and Sikandar Raza's quickfire 24 off 10 balls helped them reach a defendable score after they slipped to 94-3.
In reply, Kingsmen struggled from the start and fell to 65-5 after nine overs. Captain Marnus Labuschagne top-scored with 26 off 22 balls before being caught and bowled by Raza, who also claimed the wicket of Sri Lanka's Kusal Perera. Kingsmen were bowled out for 130 off the final ball, marking a difficult start for one of the two new sides in this year's expanded PSL.
