Rockies Sign Ex-Cardinals Catcher Knizner to Minor League Deal

The Colorado Rockies added catching depth by signing veteran Andrew Knizner to a minor league contract on Wednesday.

Knizner, a seven-year MLB veteran with a career .596 OPS, joins the Rockies after a stint with the San Francisco Giants. He was released by the Seattle Mariners at the end of spring training.

With Hunter Goodman firmly established as the starter, Knizner provides valuable depth and defensive experience, potentially pushing Brett Sullivan to a reserve role.
