Despite signing free agent Noah Fant to form a top tight end duo with Juwan Johnson, the Saints are still evaluating prospects. Delp is regarded as a strong two-way tight end with excellent route running and soft hands, finishing his Georgia career with 70 receptions and 854 yards.
While his receiving skills are elite, scouts note he is slightly undersized as a blocker. Although the addition of Fant makes an early selection unlikely, Delp's traditional blocking and receiving versatility could make him a valuable target for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough.
