Spain Fans Face Investigation Over Anti-Muslim Chants

Police are investigating Islamophobic and xenophobic chants by Spain fans during a friendly against Egypt in Barcelona, after coach Luis de la Fuente and justice minister Félix Bolaños condemned the behaviour.

During the match, supporters repeatedly chanted anti‑Muslim slogans, prompting the Spanish Football Federation to report the incident to authorities.

Both the national coach and the justice minister publicly denounced the chants, calling them xenophobic and racist, and urged the police to take action.
