Storm Halts County Cricket

Play has been disrupted across multiple county cricket grounds on day three, with strong winds causing damage and making conditions unplayable. Eight of the nine grounds have seen some play commence, but Canterbury has had no play before lunch, and conditions at other grounds including The Riverside and Grace Road are deteriorating.

At Grace Road, Ian Holland has the ball as fierce west winds continue to billow across the ground. Reader Mike McKie reports from The Riverside that conditions make further play unlikely. Teams are facing challenging weather as they attempt to progress in their matches.
