Tyrod Taylor is heading to Lambeau Field.
The Green Bay Packers have signed the free agent quarterback, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero on Monday.
Taylor is a former Pro Bowler (2015) who has played for the Ravens, Bills, Browns, Chargers, Texans, Giants and Jets.
Now 36 years old, Taylor was 1-3 as a starter for the Jets in 2025.
He won't have to start in Green Bay, though -- that's Jordan Love's job.

Why did the Packers sign Tyrod Taylor?
Taylor's signing stems from the departure of Malik Willis.
Willis was the QB2 for the past two seasons, but he signed with the Miami Dolphins in free agency.
That left a clear gap behind Love on the depth chart that had yet to be filled. Taylor will take that spot for sure.
Packers QB depth chart
The top-two spots here are now simple:
- Jordan Love
- Tyrod Taylor
The Packers currently have three other QBs on board to compete for the third spot: Desmond Ridder, Kyle McCord and Kyron Drones.
Ridder has NFL starting experience but has turned into a journeyman. McCord is entering his second pro season after a record-setting 2024 campaign at Syracuse. Drones is an undrafted rookie out of Virginia Tech.
The important part for the Packers is that the injury-prone Love now has a reliable backup.

Why Packers are signing veteran QB Tyrod Taylor in free agency

The Green Bay Packers have signed a new backup quarterback for Jordan Love.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Packers are signing veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor. The length and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Veteran QB Tyrod Taylor is signing with the Packers, per source," Pelissero reported. "A new No. 2 in Green Bay."
Taylor spent the last two seasons with the New York Jets, where he appeared in eight games (four starts).
He brings a whopping 15 years of NFL experience with him to Green Bay, along with a career completion rate of 61.8%, 13,033 passing yards and 73 touchdowns to 34 interceptions.
This was a much-needed move for the Packers.
Why Packers are signing Tyrod Taylor
After losing Malik Willis in free agency to the Miami Dolphins, the Packers signed both Kyle McCord and Desmond Ridder to compete for the backup job behind Love.
The problem with those two is neither one could make most rosters in the NFL, let alone be a reliable backup for Love.
Ridder has been well-traveled since being a third-round pick in 2022 and has failed at every stop. Meanwhile, McCord has never played an NFL snap.
Taylor has more experience in his pinky finger than McCord and Ridder have in their bodies combined.
The veteran signal-caller has proven time and time again he can keep a team afloat if a starter gets hurt, and that's exactly what a playoff-contending team like Green Bay needed.
Now, the Packers don't have to worry about an injury to Love derailing their season.
Bazoumana Touré expected to bring Hoffenheim €40m plus
Bazoumana Touré (20) scored Hoffenheim’s second during Saturday’s 3-3 draw against VfB Stuttgart, taking the Ivorian’s tally to 16 goal contributions in 28 Bundesliga games this season.
Amid interest from the Premier League, Hoffenheim will demand a record fee for Touré, who has a contract until 2029, should he leave the Sinsheim club this summer. That means that Hoffenheim can expect to receive at least €43.5m, the fee Newcastle United paid to sign Joelinton in 2019.
Kicker information coincides with the fee, reporting that Hoffenheim hope to receive €40m plus future bonuses, which is entirely possible considering the young winger doesn’t have an exit clause.
Touré has scored four goals and provided 12 assists for Hoffenheim this season, as the Sinsheim club eye UEFA Champions League football for 2026/27 – Christian Ilzer’s charges currently occupy sixth, but are level with Bayer Leverkusen (4th) and Stuttgart (5th).
