Grimsby forward Vernam extends deal

Grimsby Town forward Charles Vernam has extended his contract through to the end of next season.

The 30-year-old, who rejoined the Mariners from Bradford City in June 2023, has scored nine goals in 40 appearances for the League Two side this campaign.

"I'm buzzing. I love this football club, and I feel like I'm playing some of the best football of my career here," he told the club website.

"The fans have been unbelievable with me, and I want to keep repaying that support."
