Tom Kim's hole-in-one helps send Jupiter Links to TGL playoffs, sets off epic Tiger Woods celebration

With his team's season hanging in the balance, Tom Kim delivered the best shot—and moment—in TGL history.

Kim's Jupiter Links Golf Club trailed the Bay Golf Club by a point on the penultimate hole when Kim threw the hammer—a TGL creation in which a team can choose to make a hole worth double the points if it feels it has an advantage. Kim then stepped up and knocked in the second-ever TGL hole-in-one.

"I've never been tackled before," Kim told reporters after. "That was one thing. It's a shot that I've hit well before and it's a shot that I've practiced a lot in the stadium. I haven't made much hole-in-ones in my life, and not a better way to do it than today."

That gave Jupiter a one-point lead with one hole to go and it would go on to win 9-6 in what was essentially a playoff game to get into the playoffs. With the win, Jupiter joins the group of four teams making the tech-infused league's postseason while the Bay was eliminated.

Have a look at Kim's shot, which sent teammates Tiger Woods, Max Homa and Kevin Kisner into an epic celebration:

And have a closer look at Tiger's reaction, which had many on Golf Twitter speculating that the 15-time major champ looks healthy enough to play at next month's Masters:

It had others comparing it to some of Tiger's most famed celebrations:

Woods has not ruled out playing at Augusta National. Nor did he rule out playing for Jupiter Links in the TGL playoffs, which start in two weeks. Here was his exchange with a reporter after:

Q. Tiger, you've got two weeks until the semifinals. Are you on the table to play?

TIGER WOODS: I'm looking forward to it.

Q. To playing?

TIGER WOODS: Well, I'll be here either way.

KEVIN KISNER: He dodged that one.

TIGER WOODS: Bob and weave, bob and weave.

As we've seen at the Presidents Cup, Kim has a flair for the dramatic in team events. We're guessing team captain Tiger will plug him back in the lineup when Jupiter takes on top-seeded Boston Common Golf Club on March 17 in one of two semifinals.

"We had a blast last year, we're having a blast this year," Woods said. "For each one of these guys to earn the holes coming in and contribute like they did, it couldn't be more special and better for these guys."
